Thank you for agreeing to speak at the Philanthropy California 2020 Policy Summit! Please review these terms and conditions before accepting. They will also be sent to you via email for your reference as the Summit approaches.
Materials (optional)
All finalized handouts and/or presentation files are due by March 30, 2020. We are not able to accept new or updated presentations after that date. Please note, we will not be able to edit presentations under any circumstances. Please submit them to your session lead.
Clearly label your PowerPoint and any print materials with your name and organization so your work is credited accordingly. If you do not want your presentations shared with Philanthropy California members after the event, please contact us at jacqueline@socalgrantmakers.org as soon as possible.
Large files should be submitted via Dropbox or another file sharing app.
Videos
- Do not embed videos in PowerPoint presentations.
- Submit videos in .mov or .mp4 format via dropbox or other file sharing app.
PowerPoints
- Submit in .ppt or .pptx format only (no PDFs!).
- 16:9 widescreen format only.
Rehearsals
Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate rehearsals in the space in advance or on the day of the event.
Photography/Recording
The Speaker grants permission to Philanthropy California to photograph, make a video and/or audiotape of the presentation. The Speaker authorizes Philanthropy California to use his/her name, likeness, photograph, and biographical data in connection with the use and promotion of any aspect of the presentation. Philanthropy California agrees to provide a gratis copy of all photos and video footage that contains the image of the Speaker.
Indemnification and Hold Harmless Agreement
Speaker and Philanthropy California shall defend, indemnify, and hold each other harmless, their directors, officers, employees, agents and members from and against any and all loss, expense, damage, claim, demand, judgment, fine, charge, lien liability, action, cause of action or proceedings of any kind whatsoever (whether arising on account of damage to or loss of property, or personal injury, emotional distress, or death) arising directly or indirectly in connection with the performance or activities of the Speaker hereunder, whether the same arises before or after completion of or expiration of this Agreement, except for damage, loss, or injury resulting from Philanthropy California’s sole negligence or willful misconduct.
Termination
This contract may be terminated by either party upon written notice.
This constitutes the entire agreement between the parties.
